April 2010 Music Notes for the April Newsletter A Note of Thanks Thank you to the Choir and Bell Choir for their dedication and gifts of music during the Lenten season, Holy Week, and Easter. Special thanks to Nanci Garling, who is directing the Bell Choir. We at Calvary are truly blessed to have such wonderful musicians among us! Hymn Suggestions The Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing on Shrove Tuesday was such a joyful event! Do you have a favorite hymn that wasn’t included? To request a hymn please send me an email (address below) or see me after the Sunday service. We’ll select your hymn for a Sunday when it complements the liturgy. Join the Choir and/or Bell Choir We will continue to sing and play the bells throughout the Easter season. You’re invited to join the Choir, the Bell Choir, or both! Bell Choir Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Choir Room. Choir Rehearsals are in the same location and begin at 7:30 p.m. Thank you. Happy Easter! Lynn Vera
