Calvary Youth Sailing Program

Our sailing program has completed its 10th season! We began back in 2001 with the completion of the Calvary dock, and the support and assistance of parishioners, local businesses, West Marine, and Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue who made it possible for us to purchase the boats and recruit instructors.  We started out as a half day one week program with 14 “campers” and attendance has increased steadily ever since. 

Last summer was our biggest season with 57 children enrolled in a full-day two week program!   We've now expanded further, adding a Fall/Winter program meeting monthly. 

Our sailing ministry has touched the lives of hundreds of children and their families and has become a wonderful way to enable us to be excellent stewards of the gift of our waterfront property. In addition, the sailing program remains financially self-sufficient and does so while keeping our fees the lowest of any sailing program in the area.
